CICC provides storage of Data and Software for all users – participating in both local and international projects.
The following systems are used to store data on the CICC website:
AFS (~12.5TB)– for user home directories and temporary user files with a short shelf life.
EOS (~23000TB) is designed for storing and accessing large volumes of information, including for distributed collective data generation, storage of “raw” installation data, data conversion and analysis. The second EOS system (1690TB) is intended for the ALICE experiment.
CVMFS (140TB) is a file system used for deploying large collaboration software packages. Used to run experimental data processing applications.
dCache – for storing large amounts of data in ATLAS(~1940TB ) and CMS(~2000TB).
EOSCTA (11.5PB, 2023Q3) is a system designed for long-term storage of experimental data on tapes. It stores data from physical experiments from the JINR PTP that are not included in the WLCG.
dCache-Enstore (21354 TB) is an infrastructure for long-term storage of WLCG project data.
