The base operating system for almost all components of the CICC is the Linux OS. Linux has also been chosen as the base OS in the wLCG and UMD projects. Since the CICC is also an element of the global computing structure of the wLCG grid, software of an intermediate level of resource integration into the UMD‑4 grid is installed on the computing machines and many servers, as well as on interactive machines.
The following work was completed in 2026:
- Migration to ARC7
- dCache version 11 installed
- EOS — new version
- SLURM — rebuilding without the ability to monopolize all resources
- SE organizations for NEVOD, Taiga, Comet
- Work with GGUS tickets
- VOMS has been replaced by IAM.
