As before, we provide the receipt and sending of mail on interactive machines lxpub01 -: – lxpub05.jinr.ru using the program pine.
In order to avoid problems, we strongly recommend the following:
Delete the old pine and ssh configuration files:

rm -f .pinerc .ssh / known_hosts
pine

In the settings of pine must be specified:

Inbox-path = lxmx00.jinr.ru/novalidate-cert/

(Appears automatically after the specified sequence of actions).

If pine still requires a password at startup, create a .pine.pwd file in your home directory:

Touch .pine.pwd && chmod 600 .pine.pwd

The server lxmx00.jinr.ru allows you to read mail using the imap and pop3 protocols and from other machines, this is only provided by us, we do not provide technical support when setting up other mail reading programs.
