AGIS: The ATLAS Grid Information System

The ATLAS Grid Information System.

ATLAS is a particle physics experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
The experiment produces petabytes of data annually through simulation production andtens petabytes of data per year from the detector itself.
The ATLAS Computing model embraces the Grid paradigm and a high degree of decentralization andcomputing resources able to meet ATLAS requirements of petabytes scale data operations.
In this papers(1 and 2) we present ATLAS Grid Information System (AGIS) designed to integrate configuration andstatus information about resources, services and topology of whole ATLAS Grid neededby ATLAS Distributed Computing applications and services.
